The Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology (CMLT) is a three-year diploma program designed to produce skilled and qualified laboratory professionals. The program is accredited by the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), Nepal and equips students with the necessary knowledge and practical skills to work in medical laboratories, hospitals, research institutions, and diagnostic centers.
Objectives
• Develop competent laboratory technicians capable of conducting medical tests and diagnostics.
• Provide hands-on training in laboratory techniques, equipment handling, and sample analysis.
• Enable students to assist in disease diagnosis and contribute to public health.
• Prepare students for employment in hospitals, clinics, and pathology laboratories.
Eligibility Criteria
To enroll in the CMLT program, students must meet the following requirements:
• Must have completed SEE (Secondary Education Examination) or equivalent with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
• Admission is based on the entrance examination conducted by CTEVT.

Internship and Practical Training
Students undergo six months of internship in recognized hospitals and diagnostic laboratories. This hands-on experience helps them gain practical knowledge in handling laboratory instruments, performing tests, and maintaining laboratory quality standards.
